Dr. Broudy

Dr. Risa BroudyDr. Risa Broudy received her B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from St. John’s University in New York, where she specialized in working with children and adolescents. She has worked in residential, inpatient, and outpatient settings. She completed her internship in the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Department at St. Luke’s/Roosevelt Hospital Center in Manhattan.

Dr. Broudy works with children, adolescents, and adults using primarily cognitive behavioral therapy. She also administers neuropsychological, psycho-educational, and psychological assessments. Dr. Broudy has received intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She has a particular interest in treating individuals who struggle with emotion regulation and anxiety issues through the integration of cognitive and behavioral therapy, mindfulness practice, and DBT skills training.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Broudy currently directs the psychology training clinic in the clinical/community Ph.D. program at George Washington University. Along with her responsibilities as director, she teaches cognitive and personality assessment and supervises students’ assessment and therapy cases.
